We have only been using Asset Panda for 3 months, but in that short amount of time, the change from where we were to where we are now is astronomical! Before Asset Panda, we were using multiple spreadsheets to track who was assigned to particular equipment, what jobs the equipment was located at, internal billing and more. Asset Panda has allowed me to merge the data of our vehicle fleet, construction equipment, vendors, projects data, parts inventory and more from all of those spreadsheets into one tidy location. In these few short months, I would say that I have already been able to eliminate at least 8 different tracking spreadsheets, and I anticipate more to fall off over time. It has been a seamless transition from an archaic system to a modern, flexible system.
Our vehicles and equipment are housed at our central location in West Michigan between users, however, our gear spends very little time in the yard. Our fleet spends its life on job sites throughout Michigan and will travel to projects in the US and Canada. Now that we have implemented Asset Panda, both our office staff and field workers are able to look to one place for accurate information on what we own. Both the desktop and mobile app have been very helpful to our team. The desktop is great for developing the system, and the app is great for updating information and providing GPS location records. We are finding that it is easy to add new assets into Asset Panda from the app as well.
The entire Asset Panda product is great – but the most useful feature for us has been the ability to use the scan feature to pull up the file on any one piece of equipment within seconds. It is such a time saver. It is so helpful to our drivers, mechanics, and others to have that information accessible so quickly while out in the field.
The Asset Panda team that helped us with our initial setup was incredible. After attempting to implement a different system unsuccessfully before a period of time before finding Asset Panda, I was relieved and even shocked by the ease of Asset Panda’s system. I continue to be blown away by what Asset Panda can do “out of the box!”
